There are a lot of cool attractions in Piedmont and Ridge and Valley. You can go visit the Amish country, go shopping in Lancaster, go to Hershey Park for a family trip and chocolate and tons of rides and Dorney Park for a blast of fun!
Hershey Park
Hershey Park was opened in 1907 it covers 110 acres and has over 60 rides. First it was just a company then later they decided to open up the park to the public. Today Hershey Park has became one of the top theme parks in the world. The chocolate was invented in 1528 by the Spanish. There are 90 million pounds of cocoa beans stored in the factory. The factory uses almost 1 million pounds of milk a day. The Hershey Kisses were introduced in 1907 also when the park was opened.
Dorney Park
Cedar Fair became the owner of Dorney Park in July,1992. Previous owners were Harris Weinstein 1985-1992, Robert F.Ott 1967-1984, Robert L. Plarr 1967, and Jacob Plarr. The first owner in 1884 was Solomon Dorney.
